Traditional Egg Cakes老式雞蛋糕

Just knowing that my friend like to eat traditional egg cakes very much. 

She brought back a box of famous pastries named Dao Xiang Cun from Beijing. A variety of pastries within a box, steam and oven baked traditional egg cakes are among the selection. She purposely reserved the egg cakes for me to try, saying that these are her favorite instead of others. I wanted to cry rather than smile when I know about it,  I thought what a mystery cake that she liked besides all others pastries, yes she doesn't like other pastries as I know, and told me that she only fancy on a particular kind of pastries from Beijing. Finally, I know the pastries that she mentioned all the while is traditional egg cakes.

Traditional egg cakes, almost forget it when I getting old and far from my homeland. Found a recommended recipe, I would like to bake her some traditional egg cakes just to express my gratitude towards the kindness from her to me.
